About Yusha

Yusha Evans Bio

He was born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina in a very conservative Christian home. In his early teens he became heavily involved in the church near his home and in Young Life, a non-denominational youth oriented organization with the intention of becoming involved in the ministry of teaching and preaching.

He intended to enroll in Bob Jones University, a world-renowned Bible College in his hometown upon graduating high school, but in the summer of 1996 his life changed. Upon studying the bible from cover to cover and realizing many things were askew, and a lot of what he believed his entire life was not in line with what his research found, he left Christianity and went in search of the truth. After many twists and turns, ups and downs and after looking at the many world religions searching for the tangible proof of the right way of life he encountered a Muslim and was given a Qur’an. After reading the Qur’an cover to cover, he accepted Islam in the winter of 1998.

He currently works as the Director of Education & Community Outreach at Masjid Salahadeen in Plano Texas

He also is a part time counselor and life coach and sessions can be booked with him at https://yushaevanscoaching.com and in his spare time he travels the globe as a lecturer and caller to Islam, as well as teaching workshops that have taken him all across the globe. He has been pivotal in establishing  Islamic television stations in North America as well has appeared on many Islamic stations throughout the world. He has been pivotal in the call to Islam and bringing people to the faith, as well as bringing non practicing Muslims back to the religion globally for over 15 years

He produces regular Islamic and mental health related content as well as his renowned podcast “Reflections” on his YouTube found at https://YouTube.com/@yushaevans

He has studied under numerous teachers and scholars in the various sciences of Islam and is a Psychology major. He holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in the field of Islamic sciences with specialty in Da’wah (Islamic propagation) He is currently pursuing his doctorate under the tutelage of Shaykh Waleed Al-Menesse, one of the world’s foremost Scholars in the Qur’an and its various sciences.

In his own words:

(Taken from a newspaper interview)

In what faith were you raised?
I was raised in Greenville, S.C. with a very strict Methodist upbringing.

How involved were you in Christianity?
I was actually going to a small Bible college in Greenville through our church and actually had an intention to enroll in Bob Jones University. My intention was to become a minister or a missionary. I also had interest in becoming a Bible scholar, and I was learning to read the Bible in Hebrew and Greek.

When did you convert to Islam, and why?
It was in December of 1998. After reading the Bible maybe six or seven times, cover to cover, analytically, I began to realize there were a lot of inconsistencies, contradictions. This confusion led me to leave Christianity altogether and I started searching other religions, Buddhism, Taoism – every kind of “ism” that’s out there – and none of them seemed to have a clear truth. One day I ran into a Muslim. He invited me to a Friday worship service and when I saw Muslims praying it was almost like a light went off in my head. I asked for a copy of the Quran. I read it cover to cover in one week, and that was enough.

How difficult was the decision to become a Muslim?
The decision was not very difficult. The difficulty came after the decision.

Did your family have difficulty accepting your conversion?
My old-fashioned grandmother – I was raised by my grandmother – it was hard for her to digest. And my mother, who is a Baptist, and my father, he’s a Christian and a freemason, it was not easy for him. But it was harder for my extended family, many of whom are involved in politics in South Carolina. It was people trying to talk me out of it and not so much an open condemnation, but you could feel the cold shoulder of the family.

How exactly does one convert to Islam?
If you believe in your heart that there is no God but Allah, and Muhammad is the messenger of Allah, then you must make something called shahada – open testimony, an open declaration. You do that before anybody who can be witness to this. I did it at a Muslim brother’s home late in the night. There’s nothing like a ritual that you have to go through.

How much has Islam changed your life?
After I left Christianity I started heading down the wrong road, being 17 years old and being confused by the world. Islam put me back on a right perspective and even my family sees it has made me a much better and a much better-rounded person than I ever could have been.

Has your conversion changed your understanding of yourself?
I don’t feel it’s changed my understanding of myself. But I finally feel I have made a real connection with something greater than myself. I feel with Islam that a connection has finally been made with the creator, and when you feel a connection like that, there’s no way it cannot change you.

Do you see your adopted faith as the one true religion, and would you recommend it to anyone else?
I absolutely would recommend it – not as the one true religion separate from everything else, but as the only true religion the creator has ever given to humanity almost every religion has claimed some form of truth in it. But Islam is the only religion that has contained its originality and its truthfulness over its 1,400-year span. We believe it’s the same religion preached since Abraham, since Adam, because God is not someone who changes his way of life for humanity.

  4. Asalaamu Alaykum

My name is Memoona and i’m a student from Bradford in West Yorkshire, England. The other day, as I was surfing YouTube, I stumbled across a video of one of your talks at George Mason University. It was entitled ‘How the Bible led me to Islam’ and in it you discussed some of the amazing life encounters you experienced that, ultimately, led you to Islam. As I was listening to your story it had a profound effect on me. It was related with such sincerity and honesty that I found myself rduced to tears. It made me realise how there are so many people in this world who are just searching for a reason to justify why we are on this Earth- people who are searching for the truth and never find it. Indeed, some search all their lives and never find it. It is only with the divine mercy of Allah that you may be blessed with guidance and shown the right path. I can see that, Alhamdulillah, you are truly one of those who was blessed. May allah bless you further and give you the strength to carry on your good work, for many years to come.

    Peace to you, Asalaamu Alaykum,

    Memoona

  5. I saw your talk Islam in the Bible on google video. I got the link via LADO (Latino Dawah) and found it to the point. I hope Allah gives knowledge and other people to think about their religion with understanding and what it commands, and to follow the religion of God correctly.

  6. Asalaalamu Alaikum

Your story and your journey to Islam is simply amazing MashaAllah. May Allah continue to give you and your work barakah. The way you talk about Islam is so MashaAllah (i dont think theres a better word to describe it:), it has made me want to be a better Muslim and spread Islam to others.

Jazakillah Khair and May Allah grant you Janatul Firdaus InshaAllah.

p.s. Please do let me know if you ever decide to come to Southern California…we would love to have you =D

  7. Asalamu alaikum Brother,

  11. assalamu alaikum wa ra7matu Allah wa barakatuh

Im from Kuwait, I saw your videos on youtube talking about how you embraced Islam.. better to say your journey to islam.. subhanAllah.. you wanted Allah to guide and He did wal7amdulillah.. and He Wanted to show you that look you could have die and not finding my way but no.. He is the Merciful.. he made you see the death twice but yet He gave you back life,, not yet.. you first will get the answer to your question
there is aya in sura Al Sajda.. i recalled when listening to this’:
يدبر الأمر من السماء ثم يعرج اليه في يوم كان مقداره ألف سنة مما تعدون ذلك عالم الغيب والشهادة العزيز الحكيم

and you know what? there is a saying by Omar ibn al Khattab (the companion of the prophet Muhammad salla Allah alaih wasallam): one doesn’t know the islam if he didn’t know the jahilia ..

so brother if you never tasted the darkness that you were in before may be you can not appreciate the light of truth

al7amdulillah for the ni3ma (gift) of islam and Quran.. the Quran is really a life that without it there would be no meaning for life..
أومن كان ميتا فأحييناه وجعلنا له نورا يمشي به في الناس كمن مثله في الظلمات ليس بخارج منها كذلك زين للكافرين ما كانوا يعملون
    الانعام اية:122
    Al Anaam verse 122
translation of the meanings: : Is he who was dead then We raised him to life and made for him a light by which he walks among the people, like him whose likeness is that of one in utter darkness whence he cannot come forth? Thus what they did was made fair seeming to the unbelievers.

and also in the same surah:
فمن يرد الله ان يهديه يشرح صدره للاسلام ومن يرد أن يضله يجعل صدره ضيقا حرجا كأنما يصعد في السماء
    Al Anaam 125
translation of the meanings: Therefore (for) whomsoever Allah intends that He would guide him aright, He expands his breast for Islam, and (for) whomsoever He intends that He should cause him to err, He makes his breast strait and narrow as though he were ascending upwards; thus does Allah lay uncleanness on those who do not believe.

i don’t know if you will read this comment or not
but .. I really ask Allah to give you, me and every one read this “ekhlas” and knowledge of the Quran and the Sunnah .. may Allah use us to serve the deen and give us 3im nafi3 and 3amal salih (beneficial knowledge and good deeds)

i really wish you visit Kuwait

wassalamu alaikum wa rahmatu Allah wa baraktuh

Asalamu Alikom, Brother Yusha, i just watched your story on how you became a Muslim, subhana allah, truly I felt like Allah loved you enough to guide you slowly to him, and the two incidences that you were about to die but yet, Allah was watching over you just to ring you a bell that hay “I’m Here” and keep searching for me, what a wonderful and inspiring story, I am a born muslim but I wish to have your sincerity and dedication towards Allah and Islam, you are the right example of a true Muslim, so humble and fully submitted to your creator, may Allah bless your life and use you as a guidance to many nonmuslims out there. 21. Assalamu Alikium, Brother Yusha

I am a muslim girl, but i truly never grapsed the code and

conduct of a true Islamian. I search for thousands of lectures

on the internet on Islam so it can help boost my iman. I have

to say that by far, your lecture was one of the best. It opened

my eyes to see that even people who are were once outside

of the religion are getting pulled into it. Sadly i had the

knowledge but i wasn’t really using it to the best of my ability.

Now i’m hoping to boost my iman so no doubts arouse in my

mind. I’m fear that Allah’s anger towards me for having doubts

will be the end of me, but not in a good way. Brother Yusha, i

beg you to continue your lectures of your story, because not

only will the non-muslims benefit from it but the muslims will

too. Muslims around the world say their muslims and yet,

don’t act like one. Many thanks to you from me.

Mashallah, may Allah bless you and your family.

  22. As Salaam Alaykum,

Thank you brother for your work and help in spreading Islam. Could you tell me if there is support group for Muslim Americans?

Second, being a convert and not from a muslim country and the culture makes it very hard to communicate with the non-american brothers and sisters they seem to shy away from any conflict or make a stand for what is right.

Seems that are too polite or just afraid to deal with serious problems in the community. I can understand living in peace but we should stand up for justice and fair treatment.

Can you suggest a book, tape or site to help me relate better, as I know I also need to be able to met them halfway,

    Ma salaam,

    Sr. Sarah

  23. Assalamualaikum Brother ,

I am very glad Alhamdulillah, to see your video on youtube of your journey for the truth. Really, Truly if Allah wants to give hidayath, no one can stop him. What attracted me the most is the age at which you searched for the truth.

I am from India, but live in UAE. I do what is in my capacity to support da’wath in both these places. Please do keep in touch when you come to any of these places.

Above all, Love our ‘Habib’ with full heart. As Allah said, He is “Rahmathun Lil Alamin” “Mercy to the Universe”. Also please let me know if you plan an umrah in Ramadan or Rabiul Awwal. Just hoping to meet this follower of The Creator and Lover of His Habib one day.

    Jazak Allah Khair.
    Assalamualaikum.

  24. You are an ispiration. I came into the fold of Islam June 19, 2009, Alhamdo lillahi. I spent over 50 years in a Christian/Catholic environment and like yourself, had many questions about what I was taught and expected to worship and believe. It is comforting to know that I did make the right and only decision and your story cements my faith even more. As salamo alaikum wa rahmatullah wa barakatuh.

  25. Dear brother Yusha, esselamu alejkum!
I watched your video on youtube and I was impressed. I like your way of explanation. Simple and understandable for everyone.
I was born in Bosnia and Herzegovina as a muslim without faith. Bosnia was at that time communist country, where faith was expelled from the homes and hearts of most muslims. As 17 years old girl I began seek truth. I head the same questions as you and I tried to find answers in a similar way. Elhamdulillah I found it.
    Go on with your message.
I wish you all the best, my Allah help you and blles you.
p.s. How can I get your cd?

I just saw your video (How the Bible Led Me to Islam: The Story of a Former Christian Youth Minister – Joshua Evans) on YouTube. I am very impressed with your story and your path inspired me. It is amazing to see young Muslim men and women who inspire others through Islam. We need more young Muslims standing up and showing the true beauty of Islam. Thank you for everything that you do – and thank you for sharing your story with the rest of us.

  34. Assalamalaikum wa rehmatAllah aywabarakatuHu
To all muslim brothers sisters and otherwise to all visitors, I am from Pakistan.
when we gained independence (1947), around that time we had a poet who predicted people like yourself, his name was Iqbal (he is our national poet now). He is the only Urdu & Persian (Local Languages of Pakistan and Iran) poet i know to have seamlessly woven the verses of the Quran into his reformative poetry.

Iqbal said and i quote “…….. Paasbaan mill ga-ay Kaabay koe sanum khaanay say” literally “defenders were granted to the Kaaba from the worshippers at idols’ temples” meaning that Allah Sarwat Hu Taala has granted the Qibla or the Kaaba, its protectors from among the peoples who disregard it, mashaAllah my brother, you are the fullfilment of a prophecy thousands of miles and around 60 or so years ago, mashaAllah. Welcome brother, Shaykh, May Allah eternally bless you and the brothers and sisters like you.
Assalamalaikum wa rehmatAllah ay wabaraka tuHu

  35. assalamualaikum.

  36. In one of the sayings of the prophets which means
” If Allah wanted goodess to any of his servants, then He (ALLAH) will give him good understanding of the religion of Islam ”

    My brother yusha ,
Although we are far away from each other and never met,
you are in USA and I am in LIBYA…but sincerely I LOVE YOU FOR THE SAKE OF ALLAH,… and may ALLAH keep you in steadfast and be of the lucky people to represent islam with effective preaching and charm…

p.s I need your advise of how I can donate to share in your Dawa expesses. Jazakalluhu Khiran

  37. Aslam alikum Br. YUSHA,

I WAS FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO SEE YOUR YOUTUBE VIDEO OF HOW YOU CAME TO ISLAM , IT TOOK ME BACK TO THE DAYS OF MY YOUTH WHEN I ALSO REVERTED TO ISLAM WHEN I WAS 18 YEARS OLD IM NOW 41 AND HAVE LOVED MY LIFE AS A MUSLIM, ALHAMDULILLAH ,

PLEASE KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK ,MAY ALLAH BLESS YOUR EFFORTS AND GIVE YOU JENNAH .

JUST WANT TO ASK HOW DID YOU FIND YOUR PARENTS AFTER ALL THESE YEARS ? ARE THEY CLOSER TO EMBRACE ISLAM ? MY PARENTS LOVE ME MORE AND ARE PROUD OF WHAT I HAVE DONE BUT STILL THEY ARE NOT EMBRACING THIS BEATIFULL RELIGION,

    • As for sister Lisa from UK, this is my opinion about your parents; maybe they didn’t yet receive the guidance light from ALLAH. Keep pray and never ever give up hope for them to be chosen by ALLAH to be among people who receive His mercy and bless. From chapter As-Sharh,94:8
And to your Lord (Alone) turn all your intentions and hopes.

  38. Good afternoon Yusha, I met you after your speaking at the event at UAB on “How the Bible led me to Islam.” I was the one who asked you the philisophical question. Religion for me is difficult to get involved with, mainly because of the staunch orthodoxy and hasty judgment of large groups. There are several things in Islam I find to be fascinating, my only real objection is the same objection to following Christianity and Judaism–accepting the idea that God possesses a very human quality…jealousy. When I said you were one of few to provide a valid answer to my question at the speaking I spoke wrong, you were actually the only person who even attempted to answer it. For that reason, even though I have yet to become a convert, you gained my admiration and my respect. I found it rather an embarrassment as a student at UAB that most of the questions were relating either to your personal life or to the question of “Islam promoting terrorism?” The fact you did not defend against that allegation was very wise, as there is nothing to defend. If someone mis-reads a passage in a religion it is not the fault of the religion, the reason, because there are crazed lunatics under the disguise of every denomination. All that aside, though I have yet to completely devote myself to a God in any holy book I give you my best wishes.

  39. Asalaam Alaikum,

I really enjoyed your lecture at Metropolitan State University in St. Paul Minnesota. I am working for the Minnesota Council of Churches: http://www.mnchurches.org/programs/christian-unity/TakingRoot.html.
If you could help me with advice on how to motivate Muslims into working for more social justice causes such as ending poverty. I would like specific statements from the Qu’ran to remind my fellow brothers and sisters to help families that are newly arriving to Minnesota.

    JazakAllah Khair,
    Farheen Hakeem

  40. asalamualakum,

I would like to tell you that I enjoyed your sermon, I left with a greater appreciation of the Du’a which you spoke to the congregation about.

I also count Surat Saff among my favorite Surats.
    May Islam prosper!
    Jazakallahu khiran

  41. Alsalamo alikom wa rahmato Allah wa barakato

whoever Allah guided is the guided one and whoever Allah misguide is the misguided one.Subhan Allah who guide people to the straight path .

  42. Assalamualikum Akhi,

SubhanaAllah, I have never heard of you in my life before and wouldnot have ever stopped to hear you story as I was born a muslim alhamdulilah. And I never thought that your story can affect me. Fortuntly, I am a regular attender of Cardiff Univerisity Islamic Soceity lectures and this is how I have come to learn about you. I have attended your lecture yesterday 06/03/10 in Cardiff and mashaAllah I was touched with story and struggle. I feel so ashamed that I am not as passionate to spread the deen of islam as you are. I love my deen dont get me wrong – but I have always been selfish and satisfied with me, my family and my circle of friends being muslims – and thats that. So I didnt think I need to work hard to spread the deen and do dawah! But what you said, especially the naseeha you gave us at the end about spreading the deen and being true representation of Islam, reduced me to tears. I have never felt so honoured to being a muslim as much as I have yesterday. May Allah reward you abundantly for your hard work and reward you and your family JannatulFirdous ameen. We hope to see you again in the UK. All the best in everything you do. May Allah make it easy on you inshaAllah. BarakaAllahu Feek for everything.

    Wasalaamualikum,
    You sister in Islam

  43. Salamun Alaikum my dear brother, it is quite heart-melting your emotional and sincere story concerning your search for the truth.
It is likely on a lesser degree the same way your search has been like that of one of the Sahabahs of the our noble prophet (SAW) salman Al-farisy, as he happened to be from the tribe of israel, and he went through a Herculean ordeal in search of one through Allah.
I envied your upheld status and I appreciate your strength, having considered the inclined factor of the phenomenal western philosophy that has been assumed it could subdue the true light of Allah.
May Allah continue to guide and Strengthen us in this beautiful way of light and a Religion.
Pray for us please, a cultist christian Tyrant (The state Governor) in my Local State has been inciting Terror against the Muslim Ummah,
May Allah guide and protect us.

  44. Assalamualaikum brother Yusha,

I learned about you when I was surfing youtube. After watching your video, I was very amazed by your stories having born as a non-muslim and the day you convert to Islam. Masyaallah…

I was wondering if there is any possibility at alll if you have any plan to come to my country, Singapore, to give a speech or what we known here as “syarahan”. I would love to listen to you “live”.

May ALLAH swt bless you for every good deeds that you do.

    Wassalam.

  46. Salam brother Yusha…
May ALLAH BLESS you and all muslims in the world..
    MAY ALLAH strengthen ur heart…
    Thanx for all the sharing..
I read a lot of story of Christian priests that convert to Islam when they realize the truth..
They are people who search for the real truth and ALLAH guide them with His Light..
Other Muslims who were born as Muslims should be very3 grateful to the Lord of Universe: ALLAH THE ALMIGHTY.
    This people including me.

  47. As for sister Lisa from UK, this is my opinion about your parents; maybe they didn’t yet receive the guidance light from ALLAH. Keep pray and never ever give up hope for them to be chosen by ALLAH to be among people who receive His mercy and bless. From chapter As-Sharh,94:8
And to your Lord (Alone) turn all your intentions and hopes.

  48. بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ In The name Of Allah Most Gracious, Most Merciful. 57. Assalamualaikum Br Yusha,
I saw your video on how bible led you to Islam. As I have inherited Islam from birth, I suppose like any other inheritance it’s not thoroughly appreciated. By watching reverts like yourself who spoke so eloquently on Islam, it has made me want to further research and learn deeper about Islam. Thank you for giving such forthright comparisons between Islam and other religions as I, myself in my quest for further understanding of Islam have read about other religions with the conscious aim of strengthening my faith in Islam. I think as a Muslim we should also be knowledgeable of others religions so that we can counter questions posed to use. Alhamdulillah watching reverts like you and others have humbled me so much that I realize I have to learn Islam anew like you and others do. Thank you for that.

  58. Azizah Hatta

    As’salamualikum wa Rahmatulalahi wa Barakatuhu

May Allah protect you and your family and put barakah in your work.

I am a born Muslim from Malaysia and I dont have the opportunity of reading all text from all the various kitab like you did. We only have Quran but from your speech at the U-tube, I am really amazed by your understanding of Islam. You are a true Islam than most of us who are born Islam. Thanks so much for letting the world see the Islam that should be…….Hope more non Muslim shares your view.

May Allah bless you and all the Muslims in this world.

  59. AL Salam Alikom brother Yusha :

Your reminded me with this verse :

    Surat AL-ma2da 54

[54] O you who believe! Whoever from among you turns back from his religion (Islâm), Allâh will bring a people whom He will love and they will love Him; humble towards the believers, stern towards the disbelievers, fighting in the Way of Allâh, and never fear of the blame of the blamers. That is the Grace of Allâh which He bestows on whom He wills. And Allâh is All-Sufficient for His creatures’ needs, All-Knower

What I see now in USA and other non islamic countries is exactly like what Allah said
when muslim who born and grew up muslims turns back from Islam Allah brought new people to Islam whom he will love and they love him..

    SOBHANA ALLAH

I am asking Allah to teach you in islam as he teached the first muslims Aameen.

In fact, when I learned about you reading the Holy Qur’an in only one week for the first time, I got could imagine how much desire you had for a true and complete religion, like Islam. I will make Dua for you, May Allah give the courage and success to spread Islam everywhere and be a very good example to all who are still in the darkness.

Allahumma Ae’zzal Islam Wal Muslimin. Ya Arham Rahimin.

    jazak allahou kheir.

  74. Dear brother Yusha,

As a Muslim girl growing up in New York I’m constantly surrounded by non believers, and sad to say many of my friends are Atheists. So far I’ve been able to hold onto my faith Alhamdullilah, but it gets hard sometimes knowing they’re always cynnical towards the idea of a “religion.” I try telling them about the wonderful beliefs, but it never caught their attention. After your video however, it did catch a few of their attentions. I’d like to thank you so much for sharing such a beautiful story, and I hope you always prosper in life. Thank you so much, and may Allah always be with you.
    Much love,
    -Lamiya.

  75. asalamu alaikum brother Yusha
I’m glad to hear about your convertion to islam, I don’t know if you tried to learn arabic. If not, you have to start because arabic is as great as islam is, eventhough it is difficult.
Finally I like to say may Allah bless you and be with you.
notice: I don’t know much english, so excuse me if there are some mistakes in my writing.

  76. Esselamun Aleykum brother Yusha ,i want to praise to Allah (swt) who has choose he is Khalifetullah (Vicegerent of Allah) in this world to work for he is cause you are blessed brother,i have seeing you thru my search i am turkish and i have my own web site http://www.whyislamtrue.com i will like to meet you one day insaAllaah ,Allah (swt) will reward those who are steadfast and perserve them self and promote he is Deen,May the peace and blessing of Allah be upon you

  77. I’d like to first congratulate you on your accomplishments and work in and for Islam. Secondly, I’d like to thank you personally. Though your work is directed towards non-muslims in calling them to Islam or showing them it’s true meaning, as a Muslim, your work has helped me recall how great our faith truly is and has completely abolished the doubts I have recently been having. It has also inspired me and reassured me that doing all that I can to raise awareness about Islam and playing my role in helping others to understand Islam is a calling I should persue. I literally learnt your name an hour ago, researched a bit about you, and watched part of “Islam in the Bible.” I have been researching our religion recently and have struggled to find good, clear sources of information. I
I grew up in the South and have an Aunt who converted from Christianity to Islam, and I think that is why I was able to strongly understand and relate to your words of truth. I am positive god led me to find your videos and am thankful to him. I hope he continues to lead me down the straight path and I hope he gives you strength to continue doing the amazing things you’re doing. and may he bless you and your family. dont ever stop, because what you’re doing inspires us all.

  78. Assalam-u-Alikum Brother

I’d heard your story last year. Masha Allah it was heart warming. And since then I’ve watched it a couple of times especially last week when I was very anxious because of certain wordly issues,a nd it really cheered me up cause I realized i had Islam, and the opportunity to make my Akhira, and that my efforts towards that will surely give fruit iA, whether or not this worldly life may or not.

I pray that Allah gives you the strength to continue striving in the path of Allah.

  79. salam. brother u give the message of living in this life .. and how allah love u that allah give u the hidayat . and u become a great muslim and u r sending a message of allah to every man kind ………………………………..and we all r pray for u ……..

  80. اللهم اهدنا اهد بنا واجعلنا من المهتدين اللهم اهدنا الى نور التوحيدو ثبتنا عليه وتوفنا على كلمة التوحيد صلى الله على سيدنا محمد على اله و صحبه اجمعين

  81. Asalamu Alaykum br Yusha-

Mashallah. I have listened to a few of your videos and I have to say that the eloquency and full understanding you bring to the table is quite unique. I especially appreciate how you answer questions, very respectful to other religions with a gentle manner & with hikmah (wisdom).

I ask Allah to bless you and your family, and utilize you for His Sake and for all that he loves. May you be granted steadfastness, continual iklaas (sincerty), and the highest levels of paradise. Ameen.

  82. Bismillahirrahmanirraheem,
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious – Most Merciful.

Subhanallah, I’ve seen your lecture on YouTube and thought, “Phew, this guy is able to benefit our Muslim youth out there!”

First of all, I’m not another revert or anything, or even American. To begin with, I’m a Muslim-born, but wasn’t practising much and at some point in my life back then – abandoning my duties to the Creator altogether. I didn’t understand why I should be praying, and was too naive to acknowledge my Deen and be thankful to Allah SWT.

Only after some turbulance and difficulty, I came to terms of searching inner peace in myself, and seeing so many kuffar/ or people of other beliefs backlash against Muslim community in the West and made accusations of them as being terrorists. Only that time, I made a connection of such situation with mine: we’re in great calamity.

And in times of this fast-chaning world, let us face it – not only we’re threatened by such external forces, but also our own spiritual life. Younger generations nowadays grow up listening to music by immoral singers that do not have self-respect by revealing their skin on stage, and/ or movies that prove to you it is now WRONG to be a virgin in your 20s. When I studying abroad somewhere in the West, it was indeed true: they actually laughed at me being pure.

My point is: young generation of Muslim, we’re in dire need of role models – to show us to study all secular stuff, but not abandon reading holy Qur’an and praying 5 times a day. And searching our true identity, learning great times in Islamic history and extending our intellectual capacity in best possible way with Islam.

And I hope, Mr Evans here will be one of the best role models for young Muslims to live as true Muslims, not only by names. Salam.

  83. As-Salamu Alaykum dear brother Yusha

When you joined a Penal Law course I teach at Sharia Academy of America, I didn’t imagined that one of my students was as great as I came to know later on about you. May Allah bless all your efforts on the path of Dawah (call) to Islam, grant you happy endings in this life and the next, and gather us together in Jannah! Ameen!

    Muhammad Abdul-Fattah

  84. Asalaam Aleygum.

beuatiful story how you came to islam. Allah The Most High loves you Masha Allah please make du’a for our children to be like you Insha Allah.

  85. I saw a video of you giving a speech on how you converted. And i thought you were very brave to come up and share your story. I’m like the old you, frustrated, sad, angry trying and trying to find answers, and when i viewed your video, it touched my heart. It moved me to want to understand Islam even more deeper. I’m glad it gave me a better picture of Islam. Thank you.

May Allah bless you. : )

  86. Salam alaykum wa rahmat Allah wa barakatu,

About a month ago you came with; Yusuf Estes, Mutahhir Sabree, and Eddie, to Moraine Valley Community College (near the Chicago-land area). Alhamdulillah, long story short- I was thinking about wearing the Niqab (face veil) since last semester but I hadn’t acted on that feeling.

The Friday that you came to the College, I thought about wearing it to the event but then I knew I would have felt awkward around my friends since there aren’t too many Niqabi’s in town and I had never seen one at that school…so I didn’t build up the courage to wear Niqab to the event but as soon as I walked in- I saw the only Niqabi there, I was told she was your wife, Masha Allah. May Allah reward you, her, and your children with the highest level of paradise!

In addition to other things, this was definitely a sign from Allah to me, Alhamdulillah. The next day I bought a Niqab and in this past month I have been building up to wearing it at UIC and around my friends. Niqab has been a great experience overall, the believer is always happy even during hardship because if they remain patient they will be given a good reward.

Never underestimate the voice of a woman in Niqab, even if she is silent- as a caller to Islam, Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala will make her the loudest.

Jazak Allah Khair to my sister in Islam and to you too.

If you ever come back to Chicago maybe you could give a lecture about Niqab, insha Allah ta’ala.

  87. Raahil moosa from south africa wishes you all the best in life and continue preaching islam

    Jazakallah

  89. Asalam Alaikum Brother Yusha,

I doubt you remember me but I had met you on the stage of WhyIslam SoCal Banquet in 2009 (Anaheim) for the first and the last time. I reverted on that stage by reciting the Shahada after you. I remember, everyone told me that you should consider yourself lucky, getting reverted by Yusha Evans and now after all the research, I do consider myself lucky. I just want to Thank you for everything and that special moment which will always be cherished by me for the rest of my life. You truly are an inspiration.

May allah always be with you.

  90. Salams bro,

I came across your story and a number of your videos and wow, you’re an inspiration bro. May Allah reward you and keep you on the path of teaching the world about Islam.

  91. Assalamualiqum dear brother i have watched your story on you tube and i got really emotional and ambarrassed because you are reminding our

  92. Salaam Brother Yusha.

I have watched most of the videos you posted on Youtube. I appreciate your efforts in spreading the true word of Islam. Especially your emphasis on the responsibilities of Muslims in the West and the positive work they should be doing in their communities.

You are a great inspiration to all young Muslims who want to get closer to Allah and follow the correct path.

May Allah bless you in this world and the Hereafter.
